All flights departure from Haneda Airport and ferry from Takeshiba Sanbashi.

Public transportation on the island is limited (bus and taxi).

For a complete exploration of all that Hachijo has to offer, we recommend renting a car.

Rain Gear: Bring a waterproof jacket or raincoat, as showers are frequent.
Bathing Suit: Whether you're heading to the beach or enjoying our free public hot springs, a swimsuit is a must.
Sandals: Ideal for easy transitions in and out of the water.
Cash: Not necessary, as the island has modernized and most places accept digital payments. ATMs are available but limited.
